Hunt Commercial were instructed to carry out a schedule of dilapidations on behalf of an existing client in Pevensey. The property requiring the schedule was to be re-let once the existing tenants had vacated. Hunt Commercial carried out a full inspection of the lease, and the extent of the building. The current tenant was still in situ and had a full repairing lease on the premises which formed a car park to the front, two-storey property and rear garden.
A full detailed inspection was carried out in a timely manner and forwarded onto the current tenants detailing the extent of the works that were required to be carried out, how they should action the works and also the clause in the lease for which they relate to. The report was then passed on to the tenant so they had sufficient time to deal with them before their lease expired.
The works were carried out by the tenant prior to the end of the lease and inspected along the way and then signed off by Hunt Commercial, allowing the tenant and landlord to end the lease in a smooth manner.
