Commercial Property Service Charges

Service charges are one of the principal areas for dispute between leaseholders and their landlords. The way in with the service charge is organised is usually set out in the lease / tenancy agreement and normally covers the costs of items such as maintenance and repairs, building insurance, services provided and common areas. In addition, charges may include the cost of management.

Hunt Commercial’s property management team has recently advised an Eastbourne based client on their service charge liabilities. As a dedicated team we assisted the client by outlining the issues which could arise and mitigating methods. If you are a landlord or tenant, within an existing agreement or about to sign up to a new lease, and would like to run through your options please call us on 01323 700100.
