Former Teva Pharmaceutical Site, Brampton Road, Eastbourne

Hunt Commercial are pleased to announce the acquisition on behalf of retained clients of the former TEVA pharmaceutical site in Hampden Park, Eastbourne.

The site extends to circa 160,000 sq ft on 5.7 acres of prime brownfield industrial space, adjacent to the mainline railway station and the A22/A27 dual carriageway.

The future of the site is very exciting with much needed business space proposed following a planning application for a new business park. Parts of the site are to be retained, including the impressive 3 storey modern factory which overlooks the Aldi food store on Lottbridge Drove.

This unique building has subsequently been sold to a regional business occupier expanding into the town, bringing much needed new employment. The business had previously been searching for over 4 years without success.

It is pleasing to note that Hunt Commercial's in depth understanding of the business market has proven, once again, to be crucial, not only in acquiring the scheme in its entirety, but also satisfying a 4 year unresolved requirement for a regional business who were desperately keen to secure their future in the area and ensuring business growth remained local.

We can look forward to re-utilising the remaining land with a new business park, providing much needed employment space to the area. The location is paramount for businesses being so close to the A22/A27 dual carriageway and of course Hampden Park mainline railway station. Furthermore, it is on the doorstep of many of Eastbourne residents where there is a plentiful supply of excellent workforce to call upon for the businesses who will occupy this scheme once completed.

2021 is likely to bring this exciting development online, with demolition of the existing site due to commence in the next few months and the new build business units ready in early 2022.
